Guardian in Destiny 2 has his super for over 2 hours, makes almost 16,000 kills

In Destiny 2, players often try crazy things. This category also includes the RockmasterJ campaign. He set the latest player record when he made nearly 16,000 kills with his super, which lasted over 2 hours. Without cheats or exploits.

Could this be the longest Super in Destiny 2 history? The RockmasterJ gamer wanted to know how long he could actually maintain his super. He set an amazing, at least personal, record with his test this week (via YouTube). It took exactly 15,843 kills to have super energy for 2 hours and 23 minutes.

RockmasterJ use the following setup for his experiment:

  • A Void Titan as a class (Sentinel)
  • As a subclass, the lower void tree with the Bottom Tree Sentinel
  • The exotic gauntlets “Doomfang Pauldron”

He needed this item: In order for the attempt to succeed, the exotic gauntlets “Doomfang Pauldron” was essential. It causes void melee kills to generate super energy. So while the super “Sentinel shield” is active, melee kills charge shield throwing, which extends the super when hit. No cheats or exploits are required for this.

How did he do that? It is therefore imperative that there are enough opponents available for a successful record. You can’t do that in normal activity. However, there are a few places in Destiny 2 that are different. One of these locations is the “Serf’s Staircase” in the “The Shattered Throne” dungeon. Players often use this spot to farm Catalysts or XP. On this staircase, the possessed serfs simply spawn for an infinite amount of time and only have to be served breakfast.

What exactly is a Super in Destiny 2?

The Super in Destiny 2 is the ability that enables a player to unleash powerful offensive, defensive or tactical powers when activated. The Super usually only lasts a short period of time and then needs to be recharged. However, there are a few classes and exotics that can extend this period enormously, as long as you have enough opponents.

RockmasterJ tirelessly uses his shield to send the serfs into the virtual afterlife. With every kill his super energy flips up a little again and thus extends the duration. Basically, he could go on and on indefinitely.

Fun fact: By the way, he obviously got all the power ammunition from Destiny 2 that he never wanted to drop in other activities.

The community appreciates this endurance performance

On reddit and YouTube, the community is positive about the endurance of the experiment. Although they are also a bit jealous of the titans that he now officially has the longest Super in the game.

“I can do that even longer!” RockmasterJ sees even more record potential in this personal success and is quite ready to top his own record. Unless another Guardian comes before him. Basically anyone can do it, because the Super in combination with the Exotic is a completely legal method that is available to every player.

We can’t say whether this is really the longest Super in all of Destiny 2. But at least it is certainly one of the longest that has been shared in the community without the use of cheats or exploits.

What do you think? Is this really the longest Super in Destiny 2 or have you managed to keep it up for a while?
